Empowering Girls Through Sexual and Reproductive Health Education

Give Hope Uganda (GHU) continues to promote the health, dignity, and wellbeing of adolescent girls and young women through Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) education. Through youth-centered programs, GHU creates opportunities for young people to access accurate information, understand their rights, and make informed decisions about their health and bodies.

The organization uses participatory approaches including discussions, peer education, anonymous question sessions, and community engagement to create safe spaces where girls can openly learn and share experiences. These approaches help address challenges related to puberty, menstruation, consent, healthy relationships, and access to health services.

Through initiatives such as Empower Her To Speak!, GHU has supported girls with SRHR knowledge, menstrual health education, Period Diaries, and SRHR information cards. These resources help girls track their health, understand their bodies, and access important information in a safe and supportive environment.

By empowering girls with knowledge and confidence, Give Hope Uganda continues to challenge harmful social norms and promote environments where young people can thrive, express themselves, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
